What does this quote mean "When anger rises, think of the consequences"-Confucius?

I need it for my 9th Grade English Class. And if the internet is nice enough what does this quote mean "No matter how busy you may think you are,you must find time for reading, or surrender yourself to self-chosen ignorance"-Confucius? |||About anger is simple as before you get to angry to do something stupid thinks of the consequences like what your anger might turn into like ruin a relationship because you said something dumb. or crashed a car. the other one is read no matter how you hate it because with out reading you are just a fool. Wether you like it or not that is the reality. So better read|||"When anger rises, think of the consequences" - When you get mad about something, you often react in a negative way before thinking of the consequences... but you should think of the consequences of your actions first.

"No matter how busy you may think you are,you must find time for reading, or surrender yourself to self-chosen ignorance" - Reading is the key to knowledge. It is a gateway into other people's perspectives... and the way we learn is through other people. So if you don't read, you are choosing to be ignorant, or unaware of people's thoughts, ideas, and ways of thinking.|||"No matter how busy you may think you are,you must find time for reading, or surrender yourself to self-chosen ignorance"-Confucious

The above means that it doesn't really matter how busy you are you have to find time to study and read or you'll give yourself to ignorance that you chose for yourself. Meaning also that you CHOSE to ignore something.

Hope that answers your question : )

The one in the title means that sometimes when you're angry you do things you never expected so you should think of the consequences involved if you do get angry.|||I think it's an exhortation that you should act when you are in a state of rage as the consequences would be regrettable when you regain your sanity. The second quote is quite self-explanatory. Always struggle to expand the frontiers of your knowledge as you can never know too much.|||People do a lot of things, that they wouldn't do if they were not angry!!

Things that would get them in trouble, and could care less, no matter what the consequences might be, at that time!!

The second quote means that you must have disipline with in yourself, to want to learn!!|||The first quote simply means, when you're angry, don't act out in revenge; think of the consequences of your actions.

The second one basically means, no matter how busy you are, read, or choose to be dumb.
