What is the cause of Human Suffering according to Confucius?

according to the Chinese philosopher Confucius, what causes human suffering, individually and in society|||I think Desire is right. He said that in the absence of desire there is tranquility.|||Desire??

I don't know for sure, but that sounds right.

Without desire, there would be no disappointment. ||| G Cunficius was confused. he ignored karma.|||Human desires, ambitions and ego. They are all related. Humans have too many desires. They want everything there is in the entire universe, if possible. They are forever chasing after their desires and in the process they get into all sorts of problems and suffer. As soon as one desire is fulfilled, another ten arise. And so, man lives his entire life trying to satisfy his desires. Whether a desire is fulfilled or not, suffering will still be there. Individuals make up the society. So, whatever afflicts the individual also afflicts the society.|||Ren or benevolence.

According to Confucius morality should not be sought for rewards in this life or the next but for its own sake.

Upon accepting this the heart becomes troubled.

"The burden of he that would seek to become benevolent is heavy, for the road is long and ends only upon the mans death"

If you meant strife or conflict among individuals or groups then it would be a departure of acting without proper Li -customs and etiquette - and Xiao - honor and respect - and the relationship of these terms to Shu -learning what others expect and need- and Chung - doing ones best to seek Yi -rightness or goodness- to achieve a life of Tao - live a life of grace, wisdom and virtue without out effort of will but as a matter of reflex.

Morality in this particular eastern philosophy is not a system of right and wrong actions or intentions but rather the daily effort to correct ones faults, to seek wisdom, and to be graceful in all aspects of ones life so that your existence is a form of art and thus comes into harmony with all of nature.

Truth, goodness, rightness, beauty, wisdom, knowledge, and morality are all intertwined.

Hence the reason his teachings are in the form of poetry.

Confucianism is basically a humanistic philosophy with and eastern flare that blends aesthetics and intrinsic principles of natural experience with morality and politics.
